Remember we told you that recently Samsung has announced that it’s 2018 and 2019 series would support Airplay 2, another report has come up that states that LG and Sony would also support the same.
At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019, both the company unleashed their smart TV. While the Korean giant LG unleashed a signature OLED TV R that comes with a 65-inch screen and rollable feature, Japanese tech company Sony launched 8K TVs and OLED 4K TVs. It was then announced at the event that both LG and Sony latest additions would get the support for Apple AirPlay 2.
If some of you don’t know what AirPlay 2 is important for then you must know if you have an Apple device be it Mac, iPad or iPhone. All these devices can easily get connected to the TV if it has an AirPlay 2 support and you can easily watch movies, stream pictures on your LG and Sony TV.
This is not what the AirPlay would only do, it would also support Apple HomeKit. So, viewers can easily ask Siri on Apple device to do the different task of managing the TV for them.
It is confirmed by Sony that by the end of the year its series A9G, X950G and Z9G would support AirPlay 2.
There is a small update that most of you would have missed is that while Apple has given AirPlay 2 support to LG and Sony, it has given exclusive iTunes support to Smart TV of Samsung. So, iTunes would be available on Samsung via iTunes app.
The latest support by Apple is indeed surprising element for most of the people because for years Apple had been restricting its services to its own devices, this is the first time that the California-based giant has given access to such devices.
