Television sets and remotes have been there from more than five decades but back then TV and especially it’s remote was nothing but a finicky device that was something used by parents to scare children while making them study. Then came an era when the remote importance developed when pointed at the TV censor from a perfect point.
But over the years its work wasn’t limited to just switching off and on the TV or changing channels that you like watching; now you can not only connect different media devices to your TV but also access them remotely.
Yes, you read it right, at the five-day Consumer Electronics Show that concluded on January 12, the Korean giant Samsung revealed a new line-up of Smart TVs. One interesting feature that the company is including in 2019 models of Smart TV would be ‘Remote Access’. This feature will enable viewers to easily access and control their tablets, smartphone, and PCs with their extra smart TV.
During a demonstration, the company showed how users would manage to connect devices such as a laptop, smartphones to the TV and remotely access them. And control them via the big screen. Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, said Hyogun Lee said, “For year we have been years that we have been working along with our partners to develop remote access,” He even added that if explained simply it seems that by introducing this technology, the company is giving viewers the capacity to display content from their media devices such as Smartphone and laptop on this smart TV and enjoy everything they want to see.
Let us tell you that for this project Samsung has collaborated with VMware, a subsidiary of Dell. The complete line-up of models for 2019 will have this feature.
